The safety of our student’s well-being is our top priority. This is why both of our classrooms have professionally sprung dance floors. These floors provide resilience and energy absorption so that when jumping, landing, tumbling, and performing high energy movements no stress or pressure is being absorbed into your dancer’s joints. Poor flooring can cause stress fractures, shin splints, fatigued muscles, knee, hip, and back pain, and other bodily harm throughout your dancer’s career and later on in life. A dancer should never jump on a hard, un-sprung surface. Every time that a dancer leaps or jumps into the air about 3 times their body weight is compressed into their landing. With a sprung dance floor instead of their body absorbing that additional weight and energy, the floor will flex and absorb their energy. This will keep your dancer safe.
